Bluehill® HV Software is specifically designed for the Instron® HDT and Vicat testers, both of the previous and current generations.
Bluehill® HV enhances the ease of use of the testing system. The user can run tests, edit methods, analyze results or configure the system with a few clicks. The simplicity of the software allows the user to run tests with minimal effort increasing the laboratory efficiency and throughput.
Main Features of Bluehill HV
Test Method Compliance
Create ISO and ASTM test templates with smart default values so the user is ready to test with minimal setup time, increasing laboratory efficiency. Bluehill HV Software provides the ability to test samples to different methods simultaneously, helping to optimize throughput.
Analysis of Test Results
Test data, graphs and inputs are shown in a single screen allowing the user to analyze results at a glance. Set acceptance criteria to automatically reject out of tolerance samples. Create report templates with minimal effort. Export and print test reports or send test data to LIMS or TrendTracker.
Main differences from the previous VisualTHERM Software
- Bluehill® HV software guides the operator throughout the test procedure. The step of test sequence can be modified by the user according test needing
- Pre-defined test methods allows to start and execute a test in a few clicks
- Result tables, graphs and test/analysis layout fully customizable
- Full compatibility with latest PC OS (i.e. Windows 8 and coming soon Windows 10)
The effect of temperature on the mechanical properties of plastic materials has a fundamental role in the design of components, especially in the selection of materials. Unlike metals and ceramics, plastics are extremely sensitive to the slightest changes in temperature. The selection of plastics for applications under different temperatures is a complex task. The material must be able to support a stress under operating conditions without losing its strength and without critical distortion. The effect of temperature on geometrical stability and mechanical properties in general can be studied following different procedures and methods like at constant temperature or with a temperature ramp.
